What we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

This policy explains what personal data edgevex.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. Edgevex is run from Romania and follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

Edgevex is operated by Sherwin, based in Timișoara, Romania. You can reach us at any time through the contact page.

What we collect and why

  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address to send you The Edge. It is kept on this website and, once connected, with our email provider MailerLite. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by contacting us.
  • Contact form. If you send us a message, we store your name, email address and message so we can reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.
  • Server logs. Our web host records standard technical data such as IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and running. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • Analytics. We do not currently use analytics or advertising tracking. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.
  • Affiliate links. When you click a link to another company, that company may set its own cookies to record that you came from Edgevex. Their privacy policy applies on their site.

Cookies and local storage

This site only uses cookies that are needed for it to work. The calculators store nothing you type. If you use the checklist, your ticks are saved in your own browser on your own device and are never sent to us.

Who your data is shared with

Only the services needed to run Edgevex: our web host (Namecheap) and our email provider (MailerLite). Where data is processed outside the EU, it is protected by standard contractual clauses. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with them. Server logs are kept for the period set by our host.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to withdraw your consent. Contact us to use any of these rights. You can also complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP, at dataprotection.ro.
