About Edgevex

Money, explained with the numbers shown. What Edgevex is, how it works and five things worth doing this week.

Most people do not lose money in one big mistake. They lose it in small, quiet ways nobody points out. A savings account paying half what the bank down the road pays. A fund fee that sounds tiny. A card that adds 3% every time you pay abroad. A pay rise never asked for.

None of these feel urgent. Together, over a working life, they can easily add up to the price of a house.

Edgevex exists to make those leaks visible, and then help you close them.

Five things you can do this week

If you only read this page, do these. Each takes less than an hour and pays for itself.

  1. Check your savings rate. If your easy-access account pays well below the best rates around, move it. Same safety, more money.
  2. Set up a payday transfer. Any amount, into a separate account, the day you get paid. The 50/30/20 rule gives you a starting number.
  3. Find your fund fees. Look up the total yearly cost of any pension or investment you hold. Over 1% deserves a hard look. Here is why.
  4. Check your card’s foreign fee. If it charges on payments abroad or online in other currencies, get a card that does not.
  5. Find your market rate. Spend 30 minutes on job adverts for your role. If you are underpaid, here is how to ask.

How Edgevex works

  • Plain English, real numbers. If something costs money, we show how much, with a worked example.
  • Dated and kept current. Every guide shows when it was last updated. Fees and rates change, so we update them when they do.
  • The cheapest option wins. Some links may earn us a commission. If the best option pays us nothing, it is still the one we recommend. How we make money.
  • Education, not advice. We explain how things work and what they cost. Your situation is yours, and big decisions deserve a qualified professional.
